hi there... i`m pier paolo,i`m an italian drummer and i`m living in Boston:i wanna say thanks to Kenwood for a special lesson: some month ago(may),i was a big fun of Kenwood,and i just called him to say:hi Kenwood,i`m a big fan of you and i wanna take a lesson from you cause i`ve an IMPOSSIBLE problem to solve! He was so GREAT,and reply to me:ok, we can meet tomorrow,is it ok? You can immage? Just 2 minutes before He was just The Man that i eard since when i was a child(do you remember Brand X,or Jaco live in Tokyo,or Sting,or............so ...you know...he is really THE MAN!) I went to the lesson,and he teached me "his approach to the american grip"called THE READY POSITION!! The READY POSITION,can help you to develop more fulcrum on matched, you can play every stroke with the same volume and never dragging ,never start to be tired! Just one hour a day for one week,and you can discovery:HOW TO GO ON THE MOON WITHOUT THE SPACE SHUTTLE!!!ah,ah,ah My IMPOSSIBLE problem was: i played 4 time a week in a funk band here in Boston,for 2 months,and my fingers(especially the third)was really tired and in pain! I remember that i had to play 2 nights after the lesson!I was really warried about ,but with the READY POSITION,i started to play in a new way:the new it`s in the minimum weight on the stick(just a good fulcrum...but for the best instuctions,just ask to Kenwood!! I can remember me play like ever in my life: everything was under control(the sound, the time,the stroke,and especially the attitude to the New technique!! Kenwood it`s really a special teacher:you can ask to guy like Dennis Chambers!!!
