"ˇACTION!" (inner directive)= When I utter the inner
directive "ˇACTION!" "I am reminding myself to accomplish the particular
task at hand quickly and thoroughly using the following three elements:
"ˇPREPARATION ACTION and RESOLUTION!" I am reminding myself to prepare
for the action( briefly), doing the action (wholeheartedly) and then
resolving the action (quickly and completely). I find that repeatedly
functioning this way over a long time has enabled me to overcome ineffectiveness
and finish many tasks successfully. Usually I use this inner directive
in the beginning of a particular activity, and then as the activity
is being accomplished, I use the component parts of this inner directive
separately.
Composite Wisdom = Knowledge you can express spontaneously
without consciously focusing on it...You can manifest your composite
wisdom in your physical appearance and posture and your state of mind.
Try to express your knowledge spontaneously. Then if you make a mistake,
focus your conscious mind solely on the weak part of your expression-the
rest will happen spontaneously. The rest of the information will emerge
from memory. Then, the new part you focused on becomes part of your
"composite wisdom." Using this technique helps you efficiently use
your intellectual thinking, and distill your intellectual process
down to one thought or less.
"ˇCUT!" (inner directive) = Stop immediately, and move along
to the next important activity.
"ˇCOMMUNICATION!" (inner directive) = Please Don't simply
take action, communicate with the people involved. Communicate from
one intuitive heart to another. Communicate with respect and with
the underlying intention of human happiness.
"ˇDONE DEAL!" (inner direction) ="I am happy I have accomplished
a just advance!"
"ˇDONE DEAL!" (inner direction) = "Congratulations! You have
accomplished a just advance! " .
"ˇDONE DEAL!" (inner directive)= "Even though I have only
just begun, I am committed to accomplishing our goal in a passionate,
quick and thorough manner plus with a result which reflects human
excellence. Plus we have a confident attitude that because of our
wholehearted attitude of faith in action, it feels as if the successful
resolution of the goal is as a foregone conclusion!... When we do
accomplish the task, we say "Done Deal!!" (It's the SAME WORD!...U
DIG? )... With a "just advance" attitude we desire to say "DONE DEAL"
to the task of Human happiness!"
"ˇGo!" (inner directive)= Please take wholehearted action
based on your own decision in harmony with your environment with an
attitude of non-hesitation.
Harmonious initiative= An attitude of non-hesitation with
which to take action based on your own decision in harmony with the
environment.
Inner directive= A command or instruction to oneself from
oneself for the purpose of motivation towards human happiness. An
inner directive is annotated as follows: the word or phrase which
comprises the inner directive is written in all capital letters preceded
by a quote mark plus an upside down exclamation point, and then followed
by a standard exclamation point and end quote mark. Here is an example
of how an inner directive is written:
"ˇACTION!"
"ˇJUST ADVANCE!" (inner directive)
Q: What is the meaning of Just Advance?
A: "Just Advance is a phrase I refer to as a "inner directive".
It is a phrase I say to myself to get me going in my highest "flow".
It is a double entendre. I use it to mean 1)focus on constantly seeking
self improvement ,and 2) imbue my actions with justice in this world
by my own highest standards... this is in contrast to merely preaching
about how other people should behave with justice...By way of example,
let me tell you a brief anecdote: As you know, I am a jazz drummer.
When I was performing in Japan in August of 1998, I had a perfect
chance to make some money by performing at a school owned by a friend
of mine-but I had already signed an exclusivity contract with my previous
employer in which I agreed not to perform for money with any subsequent
employer. I feel that my clear refusal to break the spirit or letter
of my contract contributed to the welfare of Japan, and is a superb
way to fight corruption. Rather than preach to the people about morals
I simply exhibited my own morals first (it was hard cause I cudda
used the money). : )! you digg!! hahahahahahahahahaha JUST ADVANCE!!
HERE ARE SOME OF MY FRIENDS IN JAPAN GIVING YOU THE JUST ADVANCE
SIGN: SAME AS the "Black Power salute" (fist in the air facing forward)-but
the thumb points upward indicating we ALL can advance! In deaf sign
language this sign is the letter "A" for advance!! also the thumb
is not crossed over the clenched fist as in the power salute-this
is to symbolize that I am not cross with youI51;rather want to encourage
and inspire you from my deepest heart to advance!... German Philosopher,
Georg Wilhem Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831) writes: "friend, strive toward
the Sun...The salvation of Humanity is near ...Insignificant are obscuring
leaves and branches. Charge straight ahead until you reach the sun.
And if you are tired, that is ok too. Your sleep will be that much
more satisfying." And to that I offer the Just Advance sign! If you
do it a lot and observe carefully, your fist can SMILE!!!!! .....YEEAAAAYY-Just
Advance... : )
meta-call= Terse exclamation or affirmation intended to encourage
the listener towards human happiness.
meta-call and response= = Inner dialogue involving inner
directives and simultaneous response.
meta-jam= Spontaneous and intuitive dialogue usually involving
music , but perhaps involving other arts and some words or other actions
for the purpose of mutual human fulfillment and happiness.
meta-rap= Dialogue with the intent and result of encouragement
towards human happiness.
meta-response= Proactive response characterized by the striving
for simultaneity or immediacy.
Metarhythm= Rhythm which transcends itself. Ex: 1) rhythm,
which is perceived as a social emotional or even universal phenomena,
not just a technical musical phenomena. Rhythm as action, which transcends
one's own, perceived sphere of influence and which includes others,
as when one person thinks of a friend and the friend calls at that
moment. Rhythm as all phenomena in the Universe. The superior human
experiences based on human happiness.
"ˇMove along!"(inner directive)= Don't get mired in perfectionism.
Don't pause too long after resolving an action. Make sure to begin
your next action now.
"ˇNEVER GIVE UP!" (Inner directive)= Don't keep stoppin' . Utilize
momentum as you endeavor to learn ...don't give up on your dreams!
"ˇPEOPLE POWER!"= Treat people like human beings. Make the passionate
effort to treat them with respect and consideration. Relate to them
from heart to heart not just with the intellect. Start by treating
yourself that way! :-)
"ˇPREPARATION!" (Inner directive)= When I say "preparation"
to myself , it reminds me not to just jump into the given task at
hand, but to prepare. It may seem like common sense to some people,
but I find that I need to remind myself to prepare (in as many cases
as I can) I have found all activities to be relatively more effective
when I prepare. I do not use lack of preparation as an excuse not
to act. I find however, that preparation makes the given activity
more effective and powerful.
"ˇQUICK AND THROUGH!" (inner directive)= Act with all deliberate
speed. Please complete your action thoroughly. Explanation: If you
act slowly, it may be difficult to get all your work done. If on the
other hand you rush and leave things incomplete, you may cause trouble
for yourself. So when you utter the self-directive "ˇQuick and thorough!"
, you are making an immediate commitment to put your whole heart into
speed plus thoroughness (but please be careful not to get distracted
by "nitpicking" harmonious in a misguided perfectionism).
"ˇRELENTLESS!"= Please be goal oriented instead of only action
oriented. Keep acting over and over again until you think your goal
is reached. If you fail to achieve your goal, try and try again until
you think your goal is reached. Then continue to act to confirm and
ensure that your goal is reached, then guard against human error with
more action and then make your results stronger with more action,
then test the results of your actions with more action just for good
measure, then attend to appropriate aesthetic and finishing touch
details concerning your goal, then be sure the results of your actions
will continue to endure far into the future and then move along to
your next goal. Please remember to act quickly and thoroughly.
"!SEEKING SPIRIT!" (inner directive)= Do your best to formulate
your questions into words. Take the harmonious initiative to ask your
self first, and then go to someone who you feel has shown proof that
he knows answers.
"ˇTake Your Time!" (inner directive)= Don't rush don't drag;
take the time it takes you yourself individually to achieve strong
confidence and excellence.
"Timing" (inner directive)= Don't nit picklook at the forest
not only the trees! Prioritize and prepare the action you feel is
appropriate so that you can take action without hesitation when the
time is right.
Peace to all groovagitilistic intellectuoactionistic heads!
:-)
